Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.
Christmas is my favorite holiday. Not just because of the presents, but I think that the anticipation is a big part. The other holidays, you know what it’s about and what will happen. Christmas has the major food production of Thanksgiving, with the added benefit of presents. Now, I have more fun buying and watching my son’s reaction to his gifts.
This will be the last post for a few days while we head off to see some friends.
Here’s are my goals for the new year.
Goal the First: Update this blog at least every other day. Very often it may be little more than how many words I’ve written and what I’ve learned or planned for my novels. Which brings me to
Goal the Second: Write every single day on one of the novels. My goal is to average 750 words per day. IN general, this takes me about an hour. Sometimes I crank out 2,000 and sometimes it’s a struggle to get to 400. But an average. Which will put one book finished about late May and the other finished by November.
Goal the Third: Complete most of my backlog of Gunpla. If you aren’t sure what that is, just follow along and you’ll find out. Maybe I’ll put up a short article on Gunpla tomorrow before we leave.
These aren’t really New Year’s Resolutions. I’m not hoping that I will do them. These are things that I know I can do and that I will do.
Now I’m not a full-time writer and my job and work and other hobbies (Karate) may interfere some. With some effort, I might make green belt in Karate this year, which means I will be halfway to a black belt. My goal for that is to be a black belt by my 50th birthday. The biggest obstacle is my vertigo, which makes certain practices difficult.
I do hope you follow along. I don’t always promise I’ll be witty or wise. But I will be there.
